Cooking slabs

Ciode are soapstone handmade cooking slabs from Valmalenco in Valtellina. They are 100 percent natural, with no added glaze or paint to make them non-stick.

They are ideal for cooking meat, fish, vegetables, as well as pizzas and flatbreads.
Cooking is natural and healthy, enhancing every flavor. Unlike other slabs, soapstone cooks at a lower but constant temperature; this ensures more tender and full of flavour results without burning your ingradients. There's no need to add any oils or fats to the slab; cooking on soapstone is natural and healthy.

Soapstone slabs can be placed on gas or wooden stoves, induction cooktops or in the oven.
