The Pressure Lid was designed by 2 Michelin-starred chef Alessandro Negrini from "Il Luogo di Aimo e Nadia" restaurant.
This innovative lid utilizes its weight to cook dishes "under pressure," a traditional cooking method employed by Chef Negrini in various recipes, including chicken with potatoes.
The lid fits perfectly inside the Lavéc, exerting pressure on the food inside.

Chef Alessandro Negrini preferred a Lavéc with a diameter of 27cm and a height of 12cm, but variations in height are also available upon request.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Do soapstone slabs require special treatment?
Before start cooking (this procedure only needs to be done
once
), the slab should be washed with water. Once dry, grease the top and bottom sides with oil and let it sit for 24 hours. Wash and rinse it. Your slab is now ready to use!
How should I clean my soapstone slab?
To clean your slab, use a cloth dampened with water and vinegar while the stone is still warm. When the slab is very dirty, you can use a non-abrasive sponge and diluted detergent.
Are soapstone slabs delicate?
They cannot withstand falls, as they may break or crack. It's also important to avoid thermal shocks: heat the pot gently, starting with a low heat and increase gradually. Refrain from pouring cold water directly onto the hot stone surface.
Can I use the soapstone slab on gas or wooden stove?
Yes! Soapstone slabs can be used on both gas (a heat diffuser is recommended) and wooden stoves.
Can I use the soapstone slab on an induction cooktop?
Our soapstone slabs work on induction cooktops with an induction adapter (this can be purchased from any homeware store or online).
Can I put the soapstone slab in the oven?
Yes! Here are some examples: you can pre-heat it in the oven, place it in the middle of the table for everyone to cook their own meat on or you can use it to cook pizza.
Please remember to check the temperature: put the slab in the oven when it is still cold. Never exceed a temperature of 220°C.
Strengths
Cooking slab
#1
They ensure healthy and natural cooking, without oils or fats
Cooking on a soapstone slab means cooking on completely natural and pure rock as no enamel, paint, or oil are used during any production stage.
Our slabs allows you to cook naturally without using oils or fats. Soapstone is non-stick and does not require any coating. They are ideal for cooking meat or fish preserving all flavours and aromas.
#2
Your creations will be tender and flavorful
Soapstone ensure even cooking, with no hotter spots near the flame and cooler areas elsewhere, to prevent burning. The meat is softer and tender because soapstone cooks at a lower temperature compared to traditional cast iron or non-stick pans.
#3
Ideal for meat, fish and vegetables
While the cooking slabs are traditionally used for meat, they are suitable for cooking fish. For example, you can try salmon. Salmon cuts are very flavorful, and all it takes is a few minutes on each side on the cooking slab. In no time you'll have cooked a dish that is delicious and healthy. You can also try tuna for a light and very quick to make second course. But not only that! You can also grill vegetables too, such us zucchini, peppers and eggplants.
#4
Handcrafted by an artisan
Our plates are meticulously crafted by artisans. They start from a block of soapstone, each piece is carefully shaped on a lathe and finished with copper rimming. Every step of the process is carried out by skilled artisan with love and attention to detail. This approach enables us to accommodate custom size requests. While our online catalog features popular sizes, we welcome specific inquiries to tailor our products to your preferences.
